Welcome to summer! As the temperature rises, so will the number of posts on the blog here!
I just wanted to get a quick post up, that would get you excited about some of the things I’m going to be writing about and sharing in the weeks ahead. I will be writing with families and individuals in ministry in mind first, but with a significant eye toward things that will be helpful for every believer seeking to faithfully walk in the calling the Lord has given them. So much of what I’ll be sharing will be applicable to every single Christian. It is my prayer that it will be a blessing and help you in your pursuit of Christlikeness!
It is my plan to do a study through the book of 2 Corinthians in this blog that will be looking at Paul’s example as a minister of the gospel, as a pastor/shepherd, as a mentor to Timothy, and as a model of conduct for the Christian life.
In between posts studying through 2 Corinthians, I will have a variety of posts that help consider aspects of what leads to burn out or ministry failure, what are ways to prevent and avoid the pitfalls, and at least as importantly, what are the ways to maintain spiritual health, resilience, and flourish, even in the midst of difficult outward circumstances (which Paul knew well). Again, many of these things apply just as well to everyone seeking to be faithful followers of our Lord and Savior.
So I hope you’ll join me this summer, taking the opportunity to not let your love for God and neighbor grow cold in the heat of the season!
